SurPlus

SurPlus

SurPlus is a special chemical intervening agent to treat the reservoir performance both in mature with the function of Diffusion, Micellar, and Wettability Alteration to rock surface. Surplus resistance to high temperatures up to 300 oF (149 oC) and water salinity up to 100,000 ppm.

How SurPlus works:

Diffusion Function and Wettability Alteration to Rock Surface

Modifying the wettability of reservoir rocks that are still filled with a lot of oil at very low permeability through the imbibition process. SurPlus enters the rock by DIFFUSION, then releases the oil that is adhere to the rock and at the same time SurPlus will coat the rock so that the oil cannot stick back. This process will change the rock from oil-wet to more water-wet

Micellar Function

The process of releasing oil from rocks into droplet form is called micellar. The released droplets will lead to greater permeability and collect the visco-emulsion, so that it can modify the water channel by temporary blocking high water permeable zones in the reservoir and change the direction of the pressure fluid flow as conformance control to sweep the oil bank (unswept oil). This condition can increase oil production and decrease the water cut in production wells in the SurPlus stimulation reservoir area.
